What is love's price dearest heart
But seduction and sacrifice combined?
On life’s stage we play our part
But lock our secrets in our mind.

Immortal love, and yet mortal life
Gives sweet pleasure and bitter loss.
Flesh torn by the thrusting knife,
Leave those behind to pay the cost.

What would I give to keep you love
From destruction and death’s hand?
I would sacrifice the stars above,
Offer up my body, soul and land.
