Marked by the hesitation

The wonder in our existence
As a one-
Yet separate in our reality-
And I wondered
And held the thought

And in my eye
I was sure you saw the fear
Of my hope in our existence
In the you of you linked
With the me of me

Yet in the turmoil of my emotion
I felt the passion in your breath
The halt-
The hesitation which said-
I love you-
And I felt the rush of love
And I knew you had marked it
In my eye.
