If I was forced to eat a chum
I'd choose one that was ripe
The fresh ones don't taste 'alf as nice
And they give me awful gripe!

Yes old friends taste much better
So tender, juicy and sweet
Just right when they're done medium-rare
With extra cheesy feet.

That's not to say I wouldn't eat
A mate made recently
I'd have to hang them upside down
For two weeks, maybe three.
