A bit of fun... This poem was about social networking websites and it was an amusing critique of them. Sadly Iceman has decided to remove his poem, and he has stepped down from the stone podium and perhaps entered the Realm of Silence. I suppose life in the Vault can become quite intense sometimes. I put it down to the confined spaces and the thick stone windowless walls, and the many winding passageways. The echoing voices in the candlelit darkness can sometimes merge, especially when there are many poets sharing their gifts. Word Wizard . |

I came to Grimney long ago, long before twitter reared its monstrous head, and here I shall stay, until the sands of time run out. Iceman you really should list your work in the stories section, would not wish to see it buried amidst this glorious sea of poetry! |

You are very welcome in the Vault, but the stories section is not just a library of tales, it is a place to store and share and list your poems. |

Poetry Vault There is no restriction on poetry subject matter, any genre can be posted here. Unless you term my work as not poetry. Sadly a story teller I am not. I will leave this very confused regime as clearly I am unable to fulfil the admins wishes. All poets are equal...but some poets are more equal than others. Shame. Tata. |

Yes, indeed any subject can be posted in the Vault, and we all take great pleasure in reading your poems. Not sure I understand your statement. All poets are equal.... but some are more equal than others? The Citizens' Home allows you to list your work, it does not stop anyone from adding poems in the Vault. |

Awesome, made me smile  Please don't think I'm one of Lynne Truss' grammar nazis, but a couple of contractions if you want them: My profile says it's so (contraction of it + is) My mother's feeling sick (possessive - belonging to mother) My mugshot's not so nice (contraction: mugshot is not, unless plural - then ignore me) However, Benjamin Zephaniah wrote a wonderful poem called According to my Mood (.pdf) which is every poets' comeback to everything. Words are sometimes all we have. In whatever order they arrange themselves and in whatever place you write them or read them the sentiment and depth should always be the key to why they are there and why they have been written. For your peace of mind I have deleted the said offending piece along with the rest of my work published here within throughout the site. I have no quarrel with anyone and wish only to write about the things that are releveant to me at the time. I can find a million critics. I would never dare to correct someone's grammar in a piece as this is purely a release. Just for fun. Dare that I be so confident that I would judge another. I wish all aspiring writers and poets on here the very best in everything they do and hope they take little notice of my actions. I am me. Right or wrong I live with that. DJ |

I did say 'If you want them,' deleting all your work seems a little drastic. 'No thanks' would suffice  I do hear what you're saying, and I fully respect it. Mr. Zephaniah made the definitive statement on that count. Goodness - first post I make and someone leaves. Is that a record? Perhaps I should just go and stand in the corner....
