Oh I wish I could write poetry. I envy you guys that. I'm a million miles away, but like Gwenllian says we don't like to think you feel that way Witch. You should keep writing, you have the talent to do it, you are a big part of something here by the looks of things. I hope you stay safe, I'm sure other Grimnians will be watching out for you too, I see you are admin now! x

Would like to thank you all for your words, but not everything is always as it seems.

I may write of pain and sorrow but to be true I have nothing to complain about, to the outside world I'm just an average 40ish women that has never suffered grief or sorrow. My inner self, well don't like to go there hate what I see, thats why I write the way I do from observations of others, not sure if I'm feeding the demons within or using it as therapy!!!

Hopefully others will get where i'm coming from.

It is good to empathise with the pain of others, and to help ease the burdens they carry.

As far as hating what you see when you look inside, that is just a shell. You need to go deeper.

When we were about 3, we were already the person we would be when we grew up. Personality, that is. That version of ourselves becomes submerged and corrupted by all the influences around. Influences of family, culture, education, media. It all distorts us.

We can begin again. Our new selves can shed the old stuff. We can know peace and joy. We can be happy being us. Trust me, I know. My early life is not something I treasure. I am 54 this year, and it is like being a teenager again as I explore this new life I have. I have a contentment that I never knew back then.

I hope I find that out for myself some day when I can finally put my demons to sleep and be the real me, not what others perceive.

I am so glad I found this place, having never written anything before nor thinking I was capable since an academic I certainly am not. Never realised the emotions that would surface whilst writing and reading other's work.

Grimney is one of the strangest finds I have made too, and I agree it is great therapy, I really like it, I think I always wanted something more than twiter and facebook, and this is it. The individuals that write on here are totally unique, and I love the characters. Anyway, Witch, really glad your poem was not about you, just shows you have a way with words, like many others in Grimney, the above Grimnians included in that meaning Waycyber and Gwenllian, you all keep writing and I'll keep reading.
