You can write thought provoking work! I am guessing that the person in the poem has been fatally injured and people are just walking by? Oh, we are adding your poems in the stories section. :D

Witch, another good piece, a sad portrait of society indeed. This could be a good thread I think. I wrote this one a few years ago, it's a bit twee at times but also was a view of society which could still stand I think.

Speaking to Strangers

We’ve not met before
You don’t know who I am
But tell me your tale
It will help you to calm.
They won’t go away
All your troubles and woes
But perspective may come
As intensity goes

Strange how you can say
To someone you don’t know
All the words in your head
That, with loved ones, would grow
To an argument, fight
Or an ominous quiet
When nothing is said
But there’s clearly a riot!

The sympathy, empathy
We find in others
Would lead to what’s said
That we are, in fact, brothers
And sisters together
Not strangers at heart
We have so much in common
What keeps us apart?

Appearance, deception
We fear what we see
Not recognising self
In you and in me
Conversing with strangers
Could make the world small
And we could be peaceful
Stand upright, grow tall.

Depending on your view of society depends on the outcome you make.

If not as cynical as me then their phone has been stolen.
