A clear memory of times past.

Icy raindrops on crystal glass
Watching is what I’m doing in class.
An open window - joy for me
It’s cool, it’s fresh
My lungs breathe free

Outside, outside I’d like to be
Outside running wild and free-
Rasping grass on ankles wet
And shimmering leaves
I'll not forget
Freedom beckons
I’ll break free – but... but not just yet!
