Two more sleeps 'til Christmas Eve!
The evening that, if you believe,
A jolly old man dressed in red
Will visit you whilst you're in bed,
Consume the goodies that you left
(It's no surprise he has such heft!).

Fine gifts beneath the tree he'll place.
Then on his merry way he'll race
Delivering presents 'round the world
To all the little children curled
Up in their beds and sound asleep
...or wide awake and counting sheep.

And when he's finished, back he'll go
Up to the land of ice and snow
Back home for a well-earned rest.
But that won't last. For though he's blessed
With this special job for life
He can't forget about the wife
Not at this special time of giving
He knows that life won't be worth living
So onto Amazon he goes
Orders something, hopes it shows
So he can wrap it up in time
Before the last line of this rhyme.

I apologise for this beforehand... just having a giggle.


We've seen the house of Blobby
We've seen the Smurfs so blue
we've heard the Wombles singing tunes
from Wimbledon its true

We've seen Cliff on a hilltop
We've heard him singing prayers
we've heard the cousin of a Frog
Sing halfway down the stairs

We've Felt the Noize with Holder
Sung Snowy tunes with Bing
Watched Essex sing a winters tale
Rocked House with Mel and Kim

Greg Lake thought there may be snow
Our Band Aid friends raised cash
Mud sang that they're lonely
Darkness well.. just brash

Mariah wanted you for Christmas
S Club's dream was thwarted
George gave you his heart this month
John lennon's dream was sorted

So raise a glass to old St Nick
He was the inspiration
For songs just like the ones above
that helped to shape a nation !
