Thanks for the chat at the tavern the other night. Although can't remember what it was about, thought I was on twitter! Not likely as I've forgotten the stupid password. Must get back to work. I'm on call. Argh.

What an honour to be named among the possible judges. As thrilled as I am to be deemed worthy of this task, I will say this...who am I to judge someone else's work? As an ogre who specialises mainly in doggerel for doggerel's sake, I would feel somewhat of a pretender in having to cast anything more than an enjoying eye over the poetry of others. By the way, I'm not fishing for complements here, I only fish for red-spotted swampskippers. Not Grimney's tastiest but very common and a doddle to catch!

ps I'd also quite like to post something myself!

Thanks Gwenllian but I can wager there are a lot of equally good if not better Grimnians all eager to put pen to paper, it would be great to have a diverse range of xmas fare to feast upon ! ;)

Yes, I love Christmas time.. The Frankfurt market is here now and the smell of mulled wine is making me feel all warm and festive. Looking forward to all the Christmassy delights my Grimney friends will produce. Be assured I will endeavour to read each one wearing a Santa hat and eating a mince pie.

In the words of Rastamouse... True dat. (pretty much anyone without small child or who isn't at Uni will not get this cultural reference.

Rastamouse is an awesome kid's TV programme which you should all check out on iPlayer. It is about a crime fighting mouse in a reggae band which I think we can all agree is a wicked premise for a TV.

If you haven't already seen, the lovely Don 1 has put the rules up at the beginning of this thread.
