Written while thinking of my own little 7 year old girl as my own Dad lay seriously ill and dying....

Sadly Iceman has decided to remove this poem, and he has stepped down from the stone podium and perhaps entered the Realm of Silence. I suppose life in the Vault can become quite intense sometimes. I put it down to the confined spaces and the thick stone windowless walls, and the many winding passageways. The echoing voices in the candlelit darkness can sometimes merge, especially when there are many poets sharing their gifts.

Iceman, most of us only stay here because there are no favourites...no cliques, no intimidation and no arrogance. Some of us might show off occasionally, but it's all in good fun and there's always someone waiting to better our efforts or laugh at them in jest. We don't care...well I don't. Anyone who joins us is immediately equal.

That's how I feel anyway and I don't feel any sense of superiority from anyone else here.

Your poems are really, really good. Don't stop.

If anyone of the above posters is called Nick, I agree with him/her.

I have no shame in posting my poems, and most of them are throw away four liners written in the moment for the moment. I'm not fishing for compliments by the way...I know my limitations. Your poems are very good, Iceman. Very good indeed. Even if they weren't, I wouldn't try to deter you from posting them. As far as I can tell, in my short time in Grimney, folks around here are mightly friendly. Even Tanza, who can be a bit "bitey"...

Iceman, your poem has made me cry it is really lovely. Please do keep posting you are welcome to take up as much room as you like I reckon.
I love reading the different styles and posts of everyone. The only problem being finding enough time to read it all!
