I served my Queen and Country
I did my duty and my best
Afghanistan, Pakistan and Haiti
I cannot begin to list the rest
I worked hard for the Military
Left family and friends back home
Some colleagues reached the Deiti
Still mourn for them when sat alone
I never knew my life would end this way
I always thought I would die young
But now this is a celebration day
Will they recognise me after so long?
I cannot wait to hug my wife and mum
To see tears of joy instead of pain
I feel my work abroad is done
But nothing will ever remain the same
So I'm coming home to you all
To tell you stories of triumph
There's been too many told of sorrow
But let's party now with grind n' bump
