The war with the Kanarans is coming and we must be prepared, I and my colleagues fight our wars with diagrams, models and maps. Once a strategy is decided we enlist the help of telepathic wizards and witches who indulge in deep meditation to pass the information through to the Commanders on the battlefields. We then await the return of information to decide on our next plan of attack. At present the Dudrassa sea is quiet and the Northern borders of Grimney do not appear threatened.

File comment: Commander Cassius Loran and 25 000 soldiers are on route, more Knights will be sent in due course. The building of defenses and fortification is required in this area.

The military settlement has been established. The base of operations is constructed, and General Cassius Loran awaits the arrival of more troops. The Northern border is at present secure.

Fortifications have been constructed on the North Shore of the Dudrassa. 30, 000 soldiers under the command of General Lexington Dyce are defending Grimney against an invasion by the Kanaran navy. We await further news....

Entering the War Room without permission normally warrants the death penalty. Our guards must be sleeping. None the less, their carelessness will be dealt with severely. You have influence over the Dudrassa mermaids? You don't look like one of their kind. Who are you? And how did you get in?

Yes it is a good job I am not a spy, you need better guards. I walked in through the door, it wasn't hard. I am Philomena of the Aquitani, youngest Grandaughter of the Queen of the Crested Wave. I had word from my people that the first of your enemies ships have left the harbour but not the entire fleet. They plan to attack in three stages. The old alliance between Dudrassa and Grimney will hold true even though I know diplomatic relations are strained at the moment due to your treatment of the krogs... I have come to offer storms to blow them off course, the delay will give you more time to prepare.

So Grimney threatens its few allies with execution now?

I'm not threatening you Princess Philomena... Were you anyone else, arrest and execution would be my orders. Although you could be a spy, but that seems unlikely. I agree. The guards will be flogged for their failure.

Do drink my wine... I'm aware of the mermaids command over the Dudrassa....

You could prove to be a great help to Grimney... The Dudrassa and Grimney are as one, but Kanara is a brutal land of evil. You could end our war immediately. You could send a wave over their Kingdom and wipe them all out.

If you could do that, I will personally stop any further harm to the Krogs... I had no idea that they were being killed. Terrible business I'm sure.

I will sit with you, thank you. My word of honour, I did not touch your guards. A storm such as that is too powerful, it could awake the Narran and bring devastation on all lands not just Kanara. Their ships on the other hand... They are vulnerable. They are heavy warships full of troops, it would take very little to sink their ships... I have no taste for killing you understand but even less taste for war. I could have them at the bottom of the sea within hours.

The krogs, if you could help I would be so grateful but another thing... There is a knight called Kalvos, I would like you to keep him away from the frontline of battle. You must not let him know I have asked this. If you agree I will sing my storm at once, the storm songs of my people will join as the storm sweeps across Dudrassa and the Kanaran ships will perish.
