A question that was put to me the other day! Have since googled it and found lots of people asking the same thing :D

Thousands of birds flying around every day, but never a dead one to be seen!

Does anybody know where they go??

That is an interesting question. Maybe there is an island somewhere where they gather, I guess it must be full of bones by now, piled up to the sky!

Bird island  stairway to heaven!

Another interesting question (well i think so!) re: "a child" poem........who would win a fight between a shark and a crocodile?

This question has raised some good debates with, i would say, 80-90% opting for the shark!

I've read Lee Ann McClure's poetry anthology! I know the poem you are talking about. I like her stuff. You obviously do too.

I think a crocadile would kill the shark. That is what I think. :geek:

As for the bird question, I am gonna think about it.

apparently, if a crocodile was to pull the shark backwards.....it would drown it! not sure if that is correct but that works for me

Is that true? I was kinda guessing to be honest. Thought the croc would win, more because its got legs. Maybe it would lose in deep water??? :?

apparently yes it is true. if pulled backwards water gets inside their gills. Question is....would a croc be smart enough to know this

with reference to me liking lee ann mcclure's poetry.......i am her  my son is obsessed with the ocean and all living creatures in it! i find some of his questions very thought provoking sometimes. he can be very curious about all the little things we adults never really think about!

so the croc gets my vote!!

Thank you :D that's very nice of you to say! I started writing poetry in January this year........with lots of fantastic guidance, support and advice from Gavin, so thank you to him too. I think this site is amazing and love being able to submit some of what I write.

Apparently whales die on land due to their body weight crushing internal organs :geek: ( i googled that one!!!)
