Hi, I just read a few stories from this website and thought it would be a good place to visit from time to time. The thing is, I don't see much action going on in the forums. Is the website 'dead'? If anyone's there, please answer me. Also, is there any way of viewing a person's work all in one place. I mean, can you read something someone's submitted and then click on a link to all their work? It would be very much appreciated if you'd let me know....TA!

Hello Tanza! The Land of Grimney is not dead. It is a somewhat unknown, due to the eccentric nature of its creator. There are currently a few artists and writers who add their work. Grimnian contributes mainly. He is currently writing Bitter is the Salt, although he is taking a long time constructing it. The idea of having different homes for different writers is a very good one, and if we had more writers we would do that. I am happy to answer any questions and guide you any way I can! Thank you for your message and if you have any thoughts on how to get the forums going that would be wonderful. Grimnian and the other writers do not tend to use them very often, writers are it seems an antisocial lot sometimes :roll:

Excellent! I hope the website can be altered so we can see individual contributors and their work...sometimes you get a feel for a certain person's work and want to read more of it. I love reading this kind of stuff...some weird, some heartfelt, some just silly...love it all. Yeah, it would be great if the forum could come alive...where there is creativity like this, there is surely a bunch of friendly people waiting to join in and chat!

Writers are an antisocial lot Kara?? I would have to disagree. Prefer term enigmatic. Lol. I just joined the forum so I could respond to the positive feedback from Mr Tanza. Thank you for taking time to write and encourage a little activity. I do know we average about hundred and something visits a day, but no one says anything to encourage, but as one of the writers it is good to know that other individuals enjoy the effort that is being made. I myself do not write for money, just the sheer enjoyment of telling the stories of those that live in Grimney. It is most pleasing to see a bit of feedback and hopefully this will encourage others to add to this expanding world. Thanks again!

So would you describe yourself as enigmatic? It's quite true of a lot of writers I suppose, with their minds full of ideas and fantasies, yet, unable to communicate in the most direct of ways to another human being. Maybe that's just me...I've been guilty of it a lot in the past. People tend to take me for who I am now...they don't even try to understand. Don't get me wrong, I'm very sociable...but only at times that suit me. It sounds selfish, but I don't mean it to be. If people want the best from me, they have to wait until I'm ready to give it...catch me in the middle of an intensely thoughtful episode and they may just get a gobfull of scribble. ... I hope more enigmatic people decide to chat here...after reading some of the contributions, I'm totally convinced we would most definitely have one hell of a mix of topics to indulge ourselves in!!

Well, I do not spend much time looking at the inner me. I just tend to write and contribute to Grimney. I liked your poem by the way, good twist at the end. You should write more, the poetry forum seems quite popular at present. Enigmatic? Only here in Grimney I would think. No need to be that way anywhere else. You sound like a deep sort, so expecting to read some fascinating writing from you. I shall now scurry back off into my dark corner and wait for my mind to light up. Must finish the story, and tell another. Writers are often selfish but at least they share their poems and stories!

I am here too. Love the website, and think it has great potential. More a reader than a writer. Good to see that the forums have been injected with a bit of life again. So glad to see some people replying here. I hope more people who have looked in on this thread (yes, I can see you) will start communicating soon and adding poems. I hate it when I come across dead forums. Especially ones which have previously been inhabited and then left ... festering. Sigh...makes me want to cry.
