*Ismail Cydun stands beside an old wooden table upon which rest two battered silver helmets, a sword and a pair of gauntlets. The surroundings of the room are cluttered and untidy, an old prtrait hangs on the wall in the corner, Ismail glances at the proud looking man in the portrait. Darl Thranmere stands at the window gazing out over the deep valley below*.

So.... Tell me the reasons for your visit.... *He continues to gaze out over the valley. He watches his own black clad soldiers guarding the winding paths that surround the high walls of the castle*. They are like ants.... *He turns to look as Ismail*. I see you are admiring the portrait... That was the previous owner.... A powerful nobleman, a fine Grimney warrior was he, until I skewered him with his own sword.... *He smiles*. Have you come to strike up a bargain with me? Or are you just here to get the measure of your enemy? |

I knew the man... Darius Rackham.... That was his name... The worst kind of human. Trust me... You did Grimney a favour by dispatching him.... *Ismail sniffs and takes a seat at the table*. I've good reason to be here... *He wipes his nose on his tunic*. The Militia could help you win this war, we've stood back thus far, watched the Queen's Elite split into three.. They're weak and we could break them together... |

Yes.... One faction is led by a man named Keeler, he's insane.... Driven by his poisoned beliefs in the Zoriat Gods... The other is camped out at Farleon Castle, far east of here.... They are loyal to no one and a renegade knight named Dravenore seems to have taken command... The final group remains loyal to the High Council.... Each of these factions need to be destroyed... And with that, the High Council will fall, and you can establish a new order.... *He smiles and sniffs*. Going to offer me some wine? I am your guest..... |

*Darl pours a second glass of wine*. The information is insightful.... *He slides the glass aggressively across the table, but most of the wine spills over the High Councilor's tunic*. You realize that I am married to a mermaid Princess... That I love her, body and soul.... *He drinks his wine and pours himself another glass*. I know of the Militia, but I'm a killer, not a murderer. *He sneers at Ismail*. What do you want in return for your help? |

I wish you happiness with the Princess... I have much respect for her and her kind.... *Ismail sucks the wine from the sleeve of his tunic and smiles*. Lord Thranmere.... I'm a moderate among my peers. The Militia have a reputation, it has to be said, but this is only because our government have never controlled the borders of our land. *He sips the small amount of wine that remains in the glass*. All manner of creatures roam through Grimney, eating up our crops and our resources, robbing and pillaging, abusing our women folk. All I would ask is that the Militia can be allowed to control the numbers of these creatures on Grimnian land. *He smiles warmly at Darl*. That they can be allowed to settle in places where they can breed away from human habitation... So we as a species can grow and prosper as we once did before their arrival..... *He sips the wine a second time*. With an agreement, you can have the help of a powerful fighting force.... |

You think like me. *Cydun sniffs and wipes his nose on his tunic*. We're two of a kind.... *Chuckles*. Lord Thranmere you could always crush the Militia after we've crushed the High Council... Together we're stronger. If you fight me and the Militia, we'd be forced to back the High Council.... *He sips his wine and smiles*. I've inside information, I can tell you of troop movements... And the High Council's plans... A spy in high places would make your victory certain... *Cydun sighs* Then after that battle is won we can settle our differences with more blood or a truce. |
