Does this ring any bells with anyone? Anyone at all? I sent him out at dusk last eve, With tasks that he must do, I sent him out to gather... things, I sent him out, to you. I sent him out my Gathering Boy, Unarmed, And now mislaid. To bring me what I needed For enchantments; Now delayed. I sent him out to Grimney Mire, By way of Uthers Woad, Without a single warding spell And now I fear his blood runs cold. I knew the places he would go, I knew when he'd return, And still my Boy has not come back, My heart begins to burn. To know than my investment, That I've fed and clothed and taught, Has vanished so mysteriously, My efforts come to naught. And never mind the magic That was wasted and decayed, No never mind the devils out, For I have been betrayed. I sent him to your filthy lair, For bones and teeth and skin, You said you wouldn't do it. LIAR! I'm told you've eaten him. You've changed your face, BUT NOT YOUR WAYS, You couldn't just...resist, You've swallowed down my Gathering Boy And now I'm.....well, you work it out. Really, I'm not at all happy. If he still breathes, send him back. |

I do believe I saw your boy He lightly tapped my door I gently pulled him in so he Could choose some blood and gore If I remember much of him I let him speak unchained A credit to your work with him He really was well-trained Not like some other fetching boys Whose manners are so poor Who swing on both my knockers 'Till I let them in the door I spend a lot of wasted time Restraining those young louts It's hard to work out what they want With all their screams and shouts I guess assumptions soon arise When someone's boy is gone And fingers always point to me My cauldron's always on But no-one minds my habits When it's bones and hair they need Or dehydrated livers Or a reproductive seed Oh no it's all quite lovely When they only have to ask For eyes and teeth and funny bones Sent over in a cask You make it sound like I'm so bad Without a single care And say I've eaten up your boy 'Cos you don't have him there I'm pretty sure he's safe and sound Not bubbling in my stew Your strictness may have seen him off Maybe he's tired of you You must admit you drive too hard It's all too much for some You push your boys to breaking point It's not like you're their mum Indeed I'm glad you're not their mum I'd really be concerned I've heard about your fetish ways You really should be burned And who are you to tell me that I have a filthy lair So what if spiders rats and snakes Are scuttling here and there I'd rather have my cosy home All warm with all its stench And you can keep your gathering boys You patronizing wench |

I saw a boy, hunched and low, His body broken by many a blow. His clothes were rags and streaked with mire And so I took him to my fire. Washed, changed and fed, I bade him rest I prepared my oils, heaven blessed. The following morning I used my gift To break soulchains and spiritbonds, and curses lift He stood up tall, eyes bright, awakened Reborn, healed, his first breath taken. With joy, he burst from my room With the almighty shout "FREEDOM! FREEDOM!" |

He surely cannot be the boy Elvira once used for her toy And is he still at your place then? And will you send him home again? I'll gladly take him in for you If she don't want him, I sure do I guess one more wont spoil the broth I love a bit of extra froth Who knows how many lads there are Left out to wander far too far Some mistresses just don't take care And send the young ones anywhere It's nice that you would help him out But is it him? I'm still in doubt I guess we'll have to sit and wait It could be him or just his mate |

If he's Elvira's, I can't be sure My intent was only to heal and restore I last saw him with Old Man Willow He's his apprentice now, a fortunate fellow He's taken lodgings with Mrs West Her hospitality is the best She has four sons and a daughter Her house is always filled with laughter |

Waycyber, I can't believe you wouldn't know, A boy of mine, out there alone? And how came he to breaks and blood? Most hale and hearty last he stood Before me, asking for my leave, Oh someone, somewhere does deceive. In fact, I'm almost lost for words, To give him freedom, That's absurd! For freedom wasn't yours to give, You've made my Boy a fugitive! And worse; Tanza is not to blame, That tattle tale is in for pain To tell me things that were not true... I'd start to run if I were you. So, Mrs West now did you say? Perhaps I'll wander home that way..... Damn thrice and blight!! What see I here? These men that dare to interfere, And draw in those with loved ones near. I need a Gathering Boy this day, Or someone, somewhere, soon will pay. Tanza, perhaps I slighted you. Hmmm. But patronizing? Me, really!! |

Elvira, as I have said I do not know if he's your lad As far as freedom is concerned The gift is mine as you have learned For the king, himself, gave me liberty To find those in chains and set them free The lad I freed is not alone With Mrs West he has a home Old Man Willow teaches his trade And great skill has the lad displayed Come and see if he is your one But mark me well. He is his own. |

I am no threat, but heed me well Don't target me with charm or spell For, as many have already found These attacks will all rebound. I am a being of joy and peace, And I offer health and release. My power is love, my weapon my heart Worshippers of hate should all depart. I have the words that free the soul The words that make a body whole The words that release the spirits power Gifts from the star creator. |

What sport is this I hear of late? Elvira’s boy Considered ate? Why surely Tanza of The Queens own Coven Would not heat your Gathering boy In her oven! I’ve seen your boy and tasty grown To manhood he is and his own Way now he’s taken has he? Waycyber’s guidance set him free? The boy may feel free for a while But I can see your little smile You know as well as I once chained A gathering boy is truly claimed If he is gone for many years And leaving you in rivers of tears I have another boy for you I’ve given him a preparatory brew He’ll serve you well throughout his time And should you tire of this boy of mine Send him back for he is the best A cut above the mainstream rest When your gathering boy comes back You’ll see the qualities he lacks And teach him more about the way He should behave from day to day Silly boy he is if living We witches rarely are forgiving So watch yourself you gathering lad Storm clouds gather to make you sad. |
