I shall call you Hoggy and you can call me Urat.
Vance. You're taking a big risk, second time this week you've come here, I could lose my license, and you could lose your head. Thought you were hiding? Anyway, two ales, coming up! Any news on your travels? You still doing any painting?

Not really, I never sit long enough to put paint to canvass. I still apreciate a good sunrise though, but most days I wonder if I'll see them set. Thanks for the drinks, I'll pass it to Hoggy. Travels? Not been far, heard Bolt's men torched another troll village, had to disband the White Scorpians, too risky to stay together. What about you?

Seems wrong that a gang like the Chaos Engine can carry on doing what they do, but you and your gang are getting hunted to extinction. We all know who the real criminals are. Naming no names mind, I've got a business to run. As for this purge that Grimwood Scribes has ordered, well where will it end? It's not a good business, not a good business at all.

Nothing you can do old friend. Just run the tavern, like your family always did. Change is sweeping in from the East, and if Scribes and the Queen's Elite don't stop the flood, then there won't be any villages for Bolt to burn, as everything will be ash anyway. Got any radigan pie left? Man gets hungry when all he has to eat are vint grubs.

Vint grubs? You've been living in style. Anyway, best you take a seat in the corner by the back door, noticed that you are being watched. Keep your eye low, there is a man in a black hooded cloak who has been watching your every move. Not seen him before, could be one of Garak's spies. You take care now. I've got other customers to serve.

Thanks friend, duly noted. I won't look, but I'll keep my back against the wall. You'd think I'd get a little peace, I don't know how they can track you through the mire, but then again, might just be paranoia, he might just be here for a drink. I hope it's not Absolem Darke. That would be fatal. Cheers Urat, hope I don't get you into any trouble. All the best.

Fret not about me Vance, just watch yourself. The price on your head, makes it hard for you to know who to trust, but you can trust me. Just keep your head down, and duck out the back when you need to, your horse is saddled and watered. So you can make a swift getaway. You take care now too.
LAST ORDERS! LAST ORDERS AT THE BAR NOW!

Good morrow kind sir. A glass of your finest mead please. This is my first time to this good land, indeed any land save for the rocks that I sit on to comb my hair. Oh yes, my hair is very long and fine and takes many hours to comb. Have you ever seen hair that shines as bright as gold before? I am sure every creature in this bar is lost in admiration for such hair! Ah now, where was I? Oh yes, I was telling you how I am a stranger to this land. I have come to find my father, who my mother tells me is human. His name and origin is quite unknown to me but I am sure to find him, for how many humans in this land have loved a mermaid?

Good day Philomena. You could have a glass of mead. Have the first one on the house, if you're dry. We have fresh radigan pie on the menu, and grimati wine. Why not try some frarva, or even a glass of lipseed at one silver tobran a jolt? You travelled far? Heard that the Kanaran hoards are massing in the East.
Yes. Your hair looks good.. Most of the patrons are buried in their ale glasses, and they don't tend to notice much more than an empty glass. Mermaid? Related to Cassandra? Are you from the Dudrassa sea? Or visiting from Riverfleet Dwellings? Or from somewhere still further? Heard there has been some trouble brewing in Riverfleet of late. What's your father's name? I've yet to fall in love with a mermaid, and you don't tend to find any in the mire, so your appearance here is somewhat of a surprise. But you are warmly welcomed. If you need to know more just ask. I'll set up a tab for you.

Hello Philomena, not sure you're in a good land, but I suppose someone bright and breezy as yourself will bring us some good fortune.
I've never loved a mermaid, and I'm not that fond of swimming, as for sitting on rocks, I prefer a cushion on a chair. Anyway barkeep, I'll have a glass of dark red gramati wine. Cheers.
