Did Sweeney any news of Kalvos in Toraz? I do think I have a strong enough connection to him to see him in the mirror. I wonder why he spends so little time watching us. Maybe he thinks if we relax we might put the noose around our own necks.

Talking of gallows I left bail at the prison, hope I did it properly as I no experience of such things.

Going so soon? I haven't even chatted with you yet, I shall raise my voice and hope it carries!

Well, the mire folk, the ones I know that is, they try to live uncomplicated lives. Most are swamp raking once the night comes.

We export a lot of mire meat, it's a grubby job but keeps us in tobran. Mire folk are not good with philosophy, there's often a lot of blank faces when they encounter that kind of talk.

However if you could come up with a new kind of sock that doesn't soak up water and get all squidgy, they will hang on your every word, regardless of whether they understand it or not. That's the simple nature of mire folk, and I guess they are happiest wading in sludge.

My friend Norg Franbar avoided getting his socks wet, he used to fish standing on his head, he'd stick his head under the water and keep his mouth open in hope that fish would think it was a small cave and swim in, it went well for a while until a silver rail blade fish sliced his head off. :?

Clouded by dreams of joy from joyless things? I'm not sure I understand that. I'm not very good with riddles. If you've got time to explain....

Who has secrets? I tend not to look too deeply into the the way that others think. I see faces, and smiles, that's how I decide who I like.

What officer of the law? I guess the monster with the heart of a child is Tanza. I think I worked something out after all. :D

Anyway, take care both! Do visit again. Many a friendly face in the tavern. :D

Philomena! I've heard nothing back from Sweeney, he's probably playing Cobble Sticks with the locals and drinking dewberry juice. I guess we must wait. You don't trust Kalvos, yet you seem concerned about him? Most curious. What do you see in the mirror? Does it ever lie?

Ah, Macewind Prison. Yes, you just send them a message and wait, the Governor is not the most reliable man in Grimney, he's too busy in his greenhouse and playing the piano, they may not even have arrived back there yet! It was kind of you to bail them, although I wonder what they did? :?

I just saw Wayland leaving, was that his brother with him? He said he was coming to visit, they don't loke much alike do they? What's this about bail, are your friends in trouble Philomena?

I care about the man Kalvos but fear what he is. I have travelled many seas, seen many soldiers and have seen what they do. I want ti trust him. There is something in him that is so kind and good, the way he wanted to protect the fairies, I would be so sad if he were wounded or worst.

They are in my service, I had to bail them. Between you and me I was in a good mind to let them keep Darius what with the trouble he has caused. Gwenllian somehow they have ended up in prison. Drunken brawling at a gaming den I bet.

The mirror does not lie, it will not even allow you to lie to yourself.

Barkeep I'd like a bucket for later. I'd also like something big, tall and green with very large wumple humps, I think you get my meaning? I need some strong brandy to dull the pain of my toothache too. Make it snappy as it's grating on me. Send it all through to the rear bar, that's where I be.

Yes, certainly sir, I will send what you've ask for through as soon as possible, not sure you'll find anything with wumple humps here though, it's not that kind of tavern. Sorry ladies present! :o

Kalvos, well, you know, not all soldiers are bad, I considered myself to be good when I served the Crown. The nature of war is bloody and brutal, it's a tragedy more than anything else. Although I never chose a career as a soldier, Kalvos clearly has. The fate of knights in the Queen's Elite is generally not a good one, I'm sorry to say. They don't often die in bed over a boiled egg reading the Grimney Journal.

Darius Kane, hmm, a tricky customer, although he does have charm, I've never known him to be a brawler though, we shall see, surely Silas is more keen to use his fists, you know him better than I do Philomena.

That mirror... Hmm, I don't think I wish to look too deeply, I think I prefer to be superficial. Any news from eve and Xibes today?
