I was wondering if eve might like to flit down to Grimney lake at sunset and meet the gwump with me. Poor thing is feeling rather lonely and has never met a fairy. Dear eve sees the beauty in everyone so I'm sure she will not be frightened of his hideous appearance.

All mirrors are magic Urat, you just need to know how to use them. I know most of you think that I am not very bright because I am a mermaid and spend a long time combing my hair and gazing in the mirror but I do see things that others miss. There is an enchantment I can use to see people's true expressions or one to look back into the past. There is one enchantment I do not use on myself though, one that shows you the face of the one you love the most even if you do not realise you are in love. For example if I were to pass to eve she would see the wibbly elf even though she does not realise herself that she has fallen in love with that sad creature. You Urat would see your wife I think, see her as she once was. It is a hard enchantment to break away from. I would see... I hope I would see my own reflection and if not then I do not want to know who would be staring back.

I have heard that one of my brothers, Glosnik Prawdy, may be coming here. Whilst my gift is peace, his is truth. You are both so kind. It is my nature to love, hate leaves such a bitter taste. Pancakes sound lovely Gwenllian, I usually have raw fish wrapped in seaweed for my breakfast but today I think I shall have your pancakes. Would you like to see if you can glimpse your past in my mirror Gwen? The reflections tend to be very cloudy when you first use it, like staring through the sea mist but you might see something.

Please, never show me my past. The years before the King called me to his service was a dark time for me. I was a wretched thing, full of anger, hatred and malice. Not as I am now.
