Goodness I am so hungry - I have been asleep for a whole night and a whole day. Gwen I spy honey biscuits and milk. Let me embrace you all and tell me of the day.

Urat thank you for the feather bed and I spied Wayland give you a magic blanket to put by my head..the air turned heavy and warm and covered me from top to toe in gentleness. I have been so loved...I am humbled dear ones.

I would love nothing more than a story while I nibble on this delectable supper...Philomena...who would Silas be...what happened to you as a mere merbabe?

*eve naive flutters to the edge of the bar and swings her legs humming happily while she nibbles the honey treat*

Tomorrow I am going to tell the wibbly elf of the good news, he always needs cheering up. We will sit on his toadstool together and I know that he will pretend to be happy whilst playing a mournful tune on his flute (it always gives him away). *eve confides in a whisper to Gwen then looks at her very thoughtfully*

Ha Ha I don't know little eve, I don't know what it's like to be anything else! Though in truth ,I don't even know that I am human, that is how I was brought up but I know nothing of my origins.
But, we feel happy, sad, we laugh, we cry much as you and your sister do, we are bigger and clumsier than your race and have very little magic, other than that I do not suppose there is much difference between us !

Now young eve the hour grows late, I think I shall ask Urat if I may stay the night here , and you I think should remain here until your sister returns, after all she sent her note here and if you were to go home, you would not know if she sent another !

Now snuggle up to Waylands blanket and dream sweet dreams , I shall see you in the morning

oh I dont mind staying here at all! Urat is my most favourite fellow in the whole wild world! he makes pies and feather beds and thimbles full of swoozy honey...which it would be delightful to have just at this moment - a thimble for you Gwen?..Swooziness is a wonderful anecdote to sleeplessness I have found - although not too often as it does make it awfully difficult to fly straight or bake!

hmmm human beans....are rather large and clumsy..I agree. But I see you smile and laugh and cry and have loyalty and bravery too. Some are bad and wicked...but the same can be said of magic folk.

*eve naive thinks of Xibes mother and shudders*

I wonder where your beginnings are too Gwen, you are as beautiful as a merlady...but have no tail...yet as serene as the elven folk....an enigma, a riddle, a secret!

I am getting rather sleepy again now...I might just lay my head here and listen to the murmers...

Oh I fell asleep gazing into my mirror. I shall leave quietly and return to Grimney lake as I have been away from water so long. Don't worry, I shall be quite safe of the kellpie's back. Probably.


I think Kalvos must be wounded Urat, the siren sing would have dragged him here by now. I hope his has not been lost to the mire, he is a strange man but also lovely.

Safe journey one and all. Philomena, is the mirror magical? Or only maigical when you look into it? I am sending Sweeney to Toraz to pick up supplies, and I shall ask him to look around and find out if Kalvos has ridden through. I hope that he is not wounded. It seems odd to me that he was sent here to spy on us, but spends very little time engaging in that pursuit.

Ah Eve, she sleeps peacefully, I shall stock up the fire, the crackling flame is a most soothing sound. The fire dances and warms the soul of the land.

Now I must muck out the stables, and perhaps talk to Philomena's kelpie, perhaps he might reveal his name to me!

Kiss the kelpie for me! I have had the greatest sleep known to fairykind and am fit to face the day. Let me just dust myself down and I will be sparkly once more.

I am off to see the wibbly elf and to pick wild strawberries, just for you, from the edge of wibbly wood. Then I shall have to clean Munchkin Manor for Xibes return - whenever that shall be. Naughty Xibes I shall have some cross words to say to her when she comes home even in victorius glory!

I shall be back later jolly man, and perhaps carry with me some eatables!
