A story ladies, about the Boggler! Most certainly! You keep dancing as I recount it for you. Lovely jiggling ladies! :?

I remember it word for word, and the story rarely changes. I used to sit upon papa's knee, with my mouth open, bathed in pipe smoke as he told me the tale. My goodness did I cough!

Well, I do know the old story, it is about Mylos Graylavon who was an awful rogue in his younger days, a greedy conman, and unlike now he was very human.

He was always out to swindle others, and was such a dreadful trickster who decieved people out of their money by pretending to be a fortune teller, but he made the mistake of crossing the Widow Gower, a notorious witch, who up until the time of her death was greatly feared.

As a punishment she turned him into the Boggler, and gave him a third eye, but all he was able to see with it was the day of his own death, and those horrible images flashed endlessly through his mind.

It almost drove him mad! :o

Until he consulted the Queen’s Coven and they mixed him a potion to repress the terrible vision. As far as I know he lives out in Darkwood somewhere, and he’s grateful to Elvira, Tanza and Nydas, for since that day the torment has lessened.

Well, that's how the story goes. It maybe a fable, but in Grimney it is sometimes hard to tell reality from fiction. Although I heard the story from my grand papa too, and he was not a man with much imagination, that is probably why he suggested to his son that building a tavern in a swamp was a wise idea.

Never understood why papa told me that tale, I was only six, and it used to give me nightmares. What a strange man he was. He never wore socks. Not even in winter. :?

Still dancing, don't you ladies get tired? :shock:

I don't think knights dance much even out if armour.

Thank you for the story dear Urat! I haven't had stories since I was as big as a buttercup and I lo-ove them! Let me wrap my arms round your big happy face and plant a fairy kiss on your nose for luck!

*eve naive clambers up a stool and on to the bar then marches over to Urat!*

My goodness, I've never been kissed b a fairy before. I'm blushing like an over ripe grimati fruit. :oops: Well, what can I say?! Goodnight to you both. I shall be singing that song in my sleep, it sure beats snoring like a hog.

Another drink Philomena of course, happy to serve! You are never in the corner young mermaid, you light up a room, and like your friends are very good for business! So many eyes watch you through the candlelight and smoke.

Goodnight to you Gwenllian and to you evenaive. You've made the night most joyful and my mood is coated in gold, and my face is touched with fairy dust. I hope I'm not allergic! Oh do take care with those red stones of yours Gwenllian! Much love to Xibes, I think she may have left too, or perhaps not. She seems to be glinting in the shadows ;)

Oh yes Urat I am here, just contemplating. Something isn't quite right up at munchkin manor, I'm sure it's my imagination, but just to be safe, for eves sake, I may be need to take some extra precautions.
