It's your father and his soldiers that are causing the bloodshed. I heard they killed two vampires over at Robert Pearl's cottage. Did you approve such action? Or did you condemn their murder?

Nobody told me about it. My friend Kiki is a vampire, I do not have issues with their kind... why should I have anything to do with it, condemning or condoning my opinion carries little weight.

Perhaps I should speak to Kiki and get it smoothed over with the Baron.

The alliance between humans and vampires has always been fragile. Your father's forces ride through this land with little or no regard for Grimney's people. Do you think his influence is any better than that of the High Councils? Why should we follow him? Why should anyone in their right mind?

I don't know... I have not asked you to join with him but I know the High Council has been corrupted and is moving against your Queen. The Queen's Elite should serve the Royal Family not the High Council... restoring your Queen, who my father is loyal to, should be your concern not mine. But whether you fight with my father or not is no concern of mine for this is a human war not a mermaid one.
*She pulls on her cloak.*
Please tell Kalvos I have gone into the mire to speak with the vampires.

I see. I thought the Queen had always allowed the High Council control over the Constitution. The arrest of Sir Robert and Absolem Darke is due to your father's arrival and little else.
*He slides his sword back into its scabbard*.
Venturing out into the mire at night is unwise. If you were to be harmed or killed your father would lose what little restraint remains.

I assume you will be taking the knights with you? You'd be foolish to travel alone.

These knights are under orders from your father to guard you. They may belong to the Queen, but they appear loyal to him. I too am loyal to any who serve the Queen. But I make an exception not to follow those who simply serve themselves.
*He stands up*.
Perhaps I should ride out with you. As I serve Sir Robert Pearl. And he holds you in high regard. Regardless of the low opinion you appear to have of his subordinates.

Yes, and when Kalvos wakes, and finds you gone, this will worry him more. The Blue Dragon is a den of thieves. You do know that it is controlled by the Chaos Engine? You do not trust me, but yet you are willing to step out into the darkness, cross the mire and visit such a place.
