Well, he did make his first appearance on stage four months before he was born, hiding under my nun's habit when I was playing sister Berthe in the sound of music !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

for anyone who is really interested I appear in part 2 of this documentary at about 7.50 and part 5 at 2.5!!

OOh, he's got a really manly voice hasn't he? I like it. I'm going to look at the other bits in a while...my tab is usually pretty good with video, but it's being a cow today.

When we're rich and famous playwrights, we can write the best play ever and put all out children in it. Yes, that's sorted then!! Oh, and me and you can play all the extras...and make all the costumes...of course...if we're not too busy attending prestigious functions. Or...I might just go to the fridge and get a twix. It's a real dilemma and, for today, the twix wins!...but, tomorrow, I will get on an do all the things I said I was going to do today...possibly.

I watched my daughter in a performance last night and she was playing Miss Hannigan. She wore one of my dresses I used to wear to the discos in the eighties (yes I said 'discos'). They asked her where she got it from and she said it was her Nan's!!! Flippin' 'eck!!! She also told them she based the drunken scenes on ME!!

Oh well...I am here to inspire. I might add that the only time my kids have actually seen me anywhere near shitfaced was when I fell in my own garden gate, down the steps and straight into a massive Fatsia bush...and I mean right in. I lost my footing...that's all...ahem! My ex had just brought them back from a weekend staying with him. He didn't say anything...but his face told me very loudly that I was an embarrassment to the whole universe and everything in it. I couldn't really speak either, with a gob full of large palmate leaves...but MY face told HIS face that it's a bloody good job I don't give a shit.

If you find anymore special moments to share...I'd love to see them and I'll look through my files too. You are right to be a proud mama :->

Aw , thanks Tanza !!

I played Miss Hannigan about 6 years ago, they said I was a really good drunk, I told them it was amazing acting ability!!!!!! (they later found out it was just typecasting!) I had a hideous frock in bright pink with big cream polka dots, but I couldn't complain cos I was wardrobe mistress too! If they're filming your daughters production I'd love to see her !

rich and famous playwrights sounds good to me... on the other hand are there any dark chocolate kit kats in that fridge?

The only time my kids have seen me hammered was on my 50th birthday, I'd had about 2 bottles of red wine, but was doing ok, then my eldest decided I should try tequilla slammers....big mistake!

The only time I have seen my mother drunk was on my step dad's 60th birthday. It was a Hollywood fancy dress party and she was dressed as a wild west whore. I was about 16 and she crawled into the room and was sick on the floor. Needless to say she was considered a cool mum after that, teenagers love it when they can relate to adults. She still blames me for it to this day, but I did warn her not to drink more than two of my champagne cocktails.

No Gwenlian...no dark chocolate of any kind in my fridge. It makes me get all... 'what's your problem?' and 'why should I?' and 'do I look like I give a shit?'. So, no...no dark or plain of any kind. I'm not allowed! Nor do I have any red wine...same problem, but with more of a slur.

Milk chocolate, or white wine...no problem. In fact anything strong and wet that stops me standing up properly and/or behaving respectably is always welcome!!

I love embarrassing people. I'm so good at it, I can do it without even trying!! I often just embarrass myself, but I feel rather selfish in doing so.
