What a sight! All these people going about their ordinary lives, yearning for something better. Something greater. I will set my stall here and see who I can help.
Here are ornaments, trinkets, jewellery, each item unique. Very, very special. Come buy! Come buy!

Well hello. I didn't take you for a merchant. i'm not buying thank you, I get given lots of things by admirers and I really have no need for them. Do take care when crossing the mire, there are some desperate men out there who will slit your throat for a few tobran.

We are all merchants, my dear. We buy, and we sell, though not always with money.
It is the currency of the soul. The promise that comes as a glance and a smile. The caress, for a caress returned. And the yearning one may have for one who would possess them and whom they, in turn, would possess.
Is this not the way of all? Do not all seek one to whom they can pledge their freedom in blissful bondage of the heart, for which they would pay their last breath, and not count themselves robbed?

Hello both. I'd like radigans, and grimati fruit please! Although I need several sacks of seeds, all kinds if possible. Got big plans for my garden back home!

I have no food to sell, sir. You must go to one of the other vendors. What I have is of far greater value than mere food or drink.
Take this medallion as a gift. No charge. I can promise you, it will change your life. Then you can come back and give me a gift in return, if you are pleased with the result. We may do further business, if you so desire.

Take care Mr Crockle sir, a gift that changes your life might not be a happy one. I need your expertise at the tavern, I am trying to grow some roses. Pop in for a free drink next time you come to collect the kelpie manure.
Geesende sir, I am not sure I get your meaning. Maybe it is a human thing. I will never trade the freedom of my heart or soul but love freely.

To love freely is to love without passion, for what is taken up lightly is cast away lightly.
Passionate love is all consuming, like a blazing fire that leaves nothing but ash when it is spent. Two souls burning for each other, fiery as the heart of a sun, with not even a spark to spare for any other soul.
Have you known a love like this? Passion like this? Perhaps it is different for such as you.

That is a personal question but yes I have known love like that and still bear its scars upon my heart. I know that once the flame burns too brightly that passion turns to hatred and obsession. My love now is like the tide, fickle with the waxing and waning of the moons. I live forever but the mortals that I love do not, an eternal devotion would be a curse to me. Yes, I love passionately but quickly... For the most part. I intend to remain mistress of my own heart if I can.

Ah, Mr Burkiss. It is good to see you again. Were you pleased with my gift? I see your wife is wearing a fine, new coat. Does that mean the cards were in your favour? Good. It is as I promised, and I am a man of my word. I would warn you, however, to use your new talent sparingly. Men object to losing their money at cards, especially if someone else wins as consistently as you seem to now.
Do you have a gift for me? Some token of your appreciation? Why, thank you. This is a fine locket. Oh, don't worry, it isn't the value that counts. .

My lady, you look exquisite. Why, is that Esme Turpin? You are transformed, I say.
Did I not promise you this? You are quite the most beautiful woman in this market place. See? The men cannot help but to gaze upon you with awe and appreciation.
A ring? Why, thank you Esme. It may mean little to you, but it is quite precious to me.
