Good choices so far. Goya has always been one of my favourites. Francisco José de Goya y Lucientes (1746 – 1828) Grim and disturbing, but I love the brooding imagery.

Well, I like Monet and Van Gogh. But they are too obvious! Klimt and Ernst are great too, but they have been picked. So thought I'd share some artists that were even more obscure with you! :shock:

My favourite artist is Michael Whelan. I have always loved his work. I think he is the most talented fantasy artist in the world. :D

These paintings are wonderful, although that goes without saying. The pictures you have submitted Elvira certainly appeal to me. I think I'd like to be the man in the picture! Well nothing wrong with fantasy! ;)

Carol Cavalaris is a fascinating artist, so here are four of her paintings.

I've always rather liked this too, although a tad overshadowed, but it suits my nature.... Therefore the last painting is Christina's World, a 1948 painting by American painter Andrew Wyeth.

Francis Bacon... I have enjoyed my nightmares more because of the images he painted. His work is very unsettling, and if you stare at the images long enough you can feel Bacon's madness.

My favourite Artist is my Mother. She does oil on canvas and has been doing so since she left School. She is a self- taught Professional Artist specialising in flowers and still- life.
